Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has called on Nigerians to embrace the values of sacrifice, compassion and peaceful coexistence as Muslims across the country prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

In a goodwill message marking the Islamic festival, the governor described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred season of spiritual reflection and gratitude, urging citizens to draw lessons from the unwavering faith and obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.
Sani said the festival goes beyond the symbolic act of sacrifice, stressing that its true essence lies in faith, sincerity, humility and compassion towards others.
He noted that the occasion comes at a time when many families are facing economic and social challenges, making it more important for citizens to support the vulnerable and extend kindness to those in distress. “This season calls upon us to deepen our humanity, stand beside the vulnerable, comfort those in distress and ensure that no member of society is abandoned to hardship”, he said.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting justice, inclusion and shared prosperity in Kaduna State through investments in education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment and social welfare initiatives.
He also commended Kaduna residents for their resilience and commitment to peace, urging them to reject division, intolerance and violence while strengthening unity and mutual respect among communities.
Sani further called on citizens to pray for lasting peace, security and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria, expressing hope that the Eid celebration would bring blessings and prosperity to the nation.
